Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia discuss issues of cooperation in the field of transport

Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev met with the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Falih and the Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics of the country Mansur Alturki. At the meeting, promising projects in the transport sector were discussed, including the development of the New Tashkent International Airport. The parties also considered the creation of an «Academy for training personnel in the field of engineering, services and aviation». Investment projects in road construction, including the participation of Saudi enterprises, were discussed. Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev, together with his Saudi colleague Mansur Alturki, got acquainted with the presentation of the MEGA Metro project, which is being built in Riyadh. Within the framework of the areas of cooperation discussed at the meetings, the parties identified tasks to be implemented in the future.
