A unified intelligent public transport management system to be introduced in Uzbekistan
The Presidential Resolution « “On additional measures to improve the public transport financing system» was adopted.
According to the Resolution, in order to carry out settlements with carriers and accumulate revenues from fares, special funds created in local transport departments without forming a legal entity will be transferred to the system of territorial departments of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
«Groups for managing the resources of a special fund, analyzing the operation of routes and monitoring cash flows» will be created locally in the form of a government agency under the departments of economics and finance.
Until 1 June 2024:
the introduction of incentive tariffs will be ensured when using electronic fare payment systems in public transport;
A unified intelligent public transport management system will be introduced to record passenger traffic on regular bus routes in the city of Tashkent, control the work of drivers and cash receipts, monitor the technical condition of buses and record violations of traffic rules on dedicated lanes.
