The EU is providing technical assistance in the implementation of transport projects.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Center for the Study of Transport and Logistics Development Issues under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a working meeting with a delegation from the European Union, as well as representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the development agency Expertise France.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the preparation of project documentation for the first phase of the "Soft Connectivity" program.
The European delegation, in turn, provided information on the development of the EU's regional transport program for Central Asia, aimed at providing technical support to countries in the region for the implementation of infrastructure projects under the Global Gateway initiative.
The Ministry of Transport presented key projects being implemented to enhance connectivity, unify regulatory frameworks, and simplify cross-border freight transport procedures.
Following the meeting, EU representatives expressed interest in organizing a roundtable involving the private sector to further discuss promising projects and potential areas of technical assistance.
