Uzbekistan launched a campaign to support the safety of children on the roads

The Xavfsiz Harakat social project was jointly created by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, Gross and Uzum Market companies.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, together with the companies Gross and Uzum Market, launched the social project Xavfsiz Harakat, and also conducted a lesson on road safety for hearing-impaired children, students of boarding school No. 106 in Tashkent.

373 boarding school students received shopping bags with a pedestrian crossing sign and reflective elements and books from the youth agency.

Shoppers will help children become more visible to drivers, and, knowing the traffic rules, young pedestrians will be more attentive when crossing the road. Residents will also be able to purchase shoppers on the marketplace.

In the modern world, each company bears a fundamentally different level of responsibility to society and a high level of demands on itself. Therefore, the Gross insurance company initiated the Xavfsiz Harakat project, the global goal of which is to promote safe road traffic. It is very important for us, as a socially responsible business, to take an active part in ensuring the safety of all road users. First of all, pedestrians. Thus, was born the idea of creating reflective shopping bags that help pedestrians be more visible on the road, especially at night, said Daria Votchel, Gross insurance company.

The head of the press service of the Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate, Kakhramon Khudoyberganov, noted that in our time, road safety is very important: both drivers and pedestrians must take a responsible approach to behavior on the roads.

It is especially important to increase children’s knowledge in this area and familiarize them with traffic rules. That is why the basics of road safety are taught even in preschool educational institutions of the country. Compliance with traffic rules by all road users helps prevent tragedies on the roads, said Lieutenant Colonel Khudoyberganov.

General Director of Uzum Market Ilshat Khametov also expressed his opinion on the situation on the roads, noting that the project will help both drivers and pedestrians.

We actively support projects whose goal is to create a safe environment for the younger generation and give children vital knowledge. Thanks to our common project, thousands of children and adults across the country will have a visual reminder that the road should only be crossed at pedestrian crossings, and drivers will become even more attentive,” said Ilshat Khametov.
