Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz ) -- On February 26, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with a report on the progress of the implementation of the instructions issued at the expanded meeting of the Presidential Security Council.

A report was made by the Minister of Defense on the implementation of the tasks set and current activities to increase the combat readiness and combat capability of the troops, equip them with modern weapons and equipment, improve the work of the sergeant corps of the Armed Forces and patriotic education of young people.

The work done to improve the normative legal acts related to improving the combat readiness of troops and training of military personnel, as well as strengthening military discipline in units and subunits, was emphasized.

Special attention was paid to the digitalization of the activities of the troops, including the introduction of modern automated control systems and the improvement of the communication system.

The President noted the importance of continuing work on improving the structure of the Armed Forces, equipping the national army with modern weapons and military equipment, as well as the development of the military-industrial complex.

As a result of the report, the President gave a number of instructions to further improve the activities of the Armed Forces and increase the country's defense capability.
