British mining delegation visits Uzbekistan

From February 9 to 16, a British delegation representing the mining industry visited Uzbekistan.

According to the Doone news agency, the delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the United Kingdom, as well as leading companies in this field.

During the visit, prospects for cooperation in the mining industry were discussed.

A meeting with the management of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK) was held, where issues of cooperation and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom were discussed.

The delegation visited the Kalmokkir mine and the 3rd copper enrichment plant under construction on the basis of AGMK.

Presentations of geological exploration and reports on reserves at the Kalmokkir and Yeshlik-1 fields were also held.
