Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to launch joint production of medical products
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan intend to establish joint production of medical products in the territory of the Bishkek free economic zone. This was reported by the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund (UKDF).
The project was discussed at a meeting of the fund's representatives with a delegation from the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The production facilities will be organized by the Sunride company, and the main consumers of the products will be medical institutions in Kyrgyzstan — hospitals and clinics.
UKFR will provide the project with consulting support in terms of attracting investments and developing financing conditions.
Today, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are implementing 14 joint projects in the field of healthcare.
