Uzbekistan plans to absorb foreign investments worth US$7.15 billion in 1Q 2024

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to absorb foreign investments worth US$7.15 billion in the first quarter of 2024.

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on measures to implement investment projects in the first quarter of 2024.

According to the document, the volume of foreign direct investment will be US$6.52 billion, and loans attracted under government guarantees will be US$630 million.

The resolution notes that the Ministry of Energy in January-March 2024 will absorb investments in the amount of US$1.68 billion, AGMK - US$331 million, Uzbekneftegaz JSC - US$254.1 million, NGMK - US$220 million.

Tashkent plans to invest US$428 million, Namangan region - US$329.4 million, and Ferghana region - US$327 million.
