Uzbekistan to deepen cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On approval of an international treaty.”

By resolution, the head of Uzbekistan approved an agreement on further deepening cooperation in the energy sector between the Governments of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The agreement, signed on 22 August 2023 in Baku, will be focused on developing and improving interaction in the energy sector between the two countries.

The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan will be responsible for the implementation of this international agreement. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant ministries and departments will ensure control over the implementation of obligations arising from this agreement.
