Alkylbenzenesulfonic acid (LABSA) is an effective foaming agent, a surfactant with good washing ability, a derivative for the manufacture of neutral surfactants.

Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) due to its excellent washing and cleaning ability is used for the production of liquid household and technical cleaning products.
