$315 million will be allocated to expand the production of meat and dairy products

As Spot previously wrote, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting on the use of new reserves and priorities in agriculture for 2024.

It is planned to allocate $315 million to expand the production of meat and dairy products in Uzbekistan, the press service of the head of state reports.

The goal is to help entrepreneurs create livestock farms, purchase small and large cattle, and produce feed. The funds will be provided at 17% per annum for up to 10 years with a three-year grace period.

A preferential loan in the amount of 1 trillion soums will be allocated to provide livestock farms with working capital.

If the loan rate exceeds 18%, then the remaining part of the interest is covered by the Business Support Fund.

This year, the heads of the fishing industry are tasked with increasing output to 1 million tons and hiring 50,000 people.

The President instructed to create at least 500 reservoirs on the banks of rivers and start cooperative fishing.

In addition, within the framework of the family entrepreneurship program, it was proposed to increase the amount of an unsecured loan for fish farming to 100 million soums.

Earlier, Spot wrote that the daily volume of fertilizer sales on the stock exchange will increase by 1.5 times.
